Course Information

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The objective of this course is to provide comprehensive training to women from the designing phase to the final execution of a properly constructed garment, including the finishing process and quality control. The curriculum emphasizes skill proficiency to enable trainees to support the related industry and contribute to economic growth. It also aims to maximize the production of high-quality garments for both export and local markets.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After this course, you should be able to

Design eastern or western garments and make technical realizations through pattern, cutting, and sewing, while maintaining quality.
Use computer software for designing and presentations.
Make specification sheets, and use trend forecasting and process manufacturing to understand industrial production processes.
Understand the industrial setup and work as assistant designers, supervisors, or quality control personnel

Course Outlines

  • Introduction to Graphic Design and Adobe Photoshop: Students learn basic functions, tools, and the menu bar.
  • Photo Manipulation: This module covers techniques for photo composition, improving color, contrast, and brightness, and retouching images.
  • Fundamentals of Design: Students are introduced to the fundamentals of two-dimensional design, including line, shapes, value, and balance.
  • Adobe Illustrator: This section covers the user interface, tool functions, and creating shapes, paths, and masks.
  • Branding & Identity Design: Focuses on what branding means, creating logotypes, and the creative process of logo design.
  • Designing Different Logotypes: Students are required to design various logos, including modern, vintage, minimalist, and abstract logos.
  • Corel Draw: This module introduces the Corel Draw interface, toolbox, and common tasks like drawing, coloring, and reshaping objects.
  • CV Building and Job Search: Students learn to create a notable CV and how to apply for jobs in both local and international markets.
  • Adobe After Effects: This part of the course covers the fundamentals of motion graphics, creating projects, and animating compositions.
  • Working with Masks and Text Animation: Students learn about working with masks, feathering edges, and animating text.
  • Introduction to Freelancing: The course concludes with an introduction to freelancing, creating a freelance profile, and using platforms like Fiverr and Upwork.
